I just finished watching The Sea Inside and it's absolutely gorgerous. Think I'm becoming addicted to foreign language films. It's so rich, poetic and beautiful. It's wonderfully well-rounded, even though I didn't like Julia. She was the only character I didn't like, however. I would have bawled buckets if there weren't tons of people surrounding me like there are now. It's very touching and great for GP! Liked the way they captured little moments and refrained from becoming all Oscar-happy and did not play loud orchestra music that try to make us feel something that would not have been felt otherwise. Sensitivity and subtlety is the key. Couldn't hurt that Javier Bardem's character wrote poetry either. All the characters were well fleshed out and believable, including Ramon's cute nephew :)
I'm going to play Nintendo games now. Have to let my brain digest this movie before I start on another.
