(On Air Canada to L.A, Vancouver time)

    Guess who turns 26 today?

Goodbye, Canada. forever it seems, in all your cold-air, pinetree, convenience store, gentle glory. We all woke early at the Hilton this morning, due only to the fact that the sun gets up early. I turned on the TV and there was Kim Possible with her movie A Stitch in Time (so that's where the computer game comes from). RONS RULE, if only because they are cute, freckly, thick and very, very funny. What would the world be without sidekicks? Or giant, angry looking naked mole rats and mad Scottish golfer robots?

They have strange TV here, anyway. Did you know that running a glaze waterfall is essential to make Krispy Kreme (why kan't they spell korrectly? Ok that was stolen from a Babysitters Club book, but I just had to say it) doughnuts as delicious as they are? The manager had an Irish accent he couldn't suppress no matter how Canadian he tried to sound. Have you heard of the Cinderella Project, that helps less fortunate teens all over the country ensure they look their best for the prom?

Our bellboy (gopher, more likely) this time is Sri Lankan; his family is originally from Singapore. This is one internationally staffed hotel. Da jiu jiu arrived in time to bristle about wai gong's blurness, and managed to frighten mum on the car ride to the airport with a weird device involving a cat stuck in a potato bag, fur, tail and claws ripping holes ("potatoes") in the sack. When you press the middle, it emits fearful yowls and vibrates. It allows smart-aleck people to make weak puns about how the cat must be let out of the bag.

Our uncle also gave us two of his photographs, including "Haunted Hills".

Wendy's, "Try our New McFlurries", "After 37 years, we are closing down forever. Everything must go!", houses where even the weeds overrunning the lawns are beautiful, and we got to the airport, and here we are, after stuffing our faces with spring rolls, fried noodles and sushi on board, as the people on this flight are too giam to serve us lunch for free (as if we travel for free). Oh no, only beverages are free. What were we thinking?

My mum is asleep again and Han's enjoying the iPod. I'll go join them, then. Anaheim, here we come.
